The Power Assembly Factory of Dongfeng Trucks was formed in 2018 by merging the engine plant and transmission plant. The factory adopts a management model of simulated profit center, specializing in the manufacturing of self-developed engines and transmissions.

Currently, the Power Assembly Factory‘s engines have a full coverage of displacement from 4L to 13L and power range from 140 horsepower to 580 horsepower. It has established a new DDi50, DDi75, DDi11, and DD/13 engine platform for the National VI standard. The transmission workshop can produce domestically advanced heavy-duty transmissions DT1420/1422/1425 and AMT transmissions, with the international leading level manufacturing capabilities.

In order to ensure that the enterprise can move forward quickly and steadfastly and not be swept away by the tide of the times, Dongfeng believes that product quality is the most important factor. 3D precision measurement is an important guarantee of product quality. Problem Description:

After the starter is on, the installation bracket vibrates noticeably. There is a loud grinding noise coming from the test connector on the engine, and the output test data values are unstable.

Problem Analysis:

  • There is a deviation in the coaxiality between the drive shafts;
  • There is radial runout between the starter rotor and the engine radial limiting hole on the mounting bracket;
  • The verticality error exists between the engine axial limiting flange face on the mounting bracket and the drive shaft.
